Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To see quotes, the tool only needs gender, date of birth, your general health, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term length. Those six pieces of information are sufficient to generate carrier rates. Your name, address, and detailed health history are collected only if you proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They represent what each carrier quotes for the health classification you selected. The carrier determines the final premium after underwriting, which may keep, improve, or adjust your classification. These quotes are estimates for informational purposes only and do not constitute an offer of insurance or a guarantee of price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, and the application is constructed using the exact quote you selected, then transfers to the carriers' secure application environment. You may pause and resume at any time, and all signatures are electronic. The process is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
This varies by carrier, coverage amount, and your health information. Some carriers offer accelerated underwriting that allows immediate decisions for qualified applicants; each quote indicates whether an exam is necessary, may be required, or is not needed.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the years when someone would financially depend on you: a home loan, children still at home, a business liability. Paying more monthly secures your rate for a longer period. The tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year terms side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not collect personal contact information, we do not sell or share visitor information, and our analytics do not use cookies. Review the privacy page for details on what is collected and who collects it.
